Ben Bertram Memorial Park
Located in the heart of the Glendale Neighborhood, Ben Bertram Memorial Park is perfect for families.
The space is filled with swings, a small teeter totter, crawling tunnels, and more. Picnic tables are covered by a shelter for convenient lunch and snack spots.
Situated at the intersection of Lafawn Drive and Hodge Street, the small pocket park was the first one developed within the city.
History
Completed in 2018, the City's first Pocket Park was dedicated in 2019 to honor the memory of Sgt. Ben Bertram. The park is located in the Glendale Neighborhood of Charlestown, where Sgt. Bertram grew up and played as a child. Sgt. Bertram served on the Charlestown Police Dept. for nine years before his line of duty death in 2018.
