Charlestown Parks offers opportunities Summer Camps for engagement while students are out of school for break. Programming is designed to provide engaging activities and opportunities.
SUMMER SCIENCE CAMPS
Get ready for a fun-filled week of science exploration at the Knowledge is Power Camp in Charlestown! We’ve got an exciting lineup of hands-on activities that will spark curiosity and creativity in young minds.
The City of Charlestown Parks Department is teaming with Knowledge is Power Camp/Daniel Dietrich to host the 2026 Full Steam Ahead - The Science of Superheroes Camp!

Full Steam Ahead – Camp held at the Family Activities Park (1000 Park Street):
FULL DAY CAMP – June 8-12, 2026 – Grades K-5th from 8 AM-5 PM – $175 per student
​
Throughout the week, campers will learn about and experiment with Electricity, Magnetism, and Chemistry. Among the activities will be:

Iron Man Armor Strength Test

Superhero Rescue Drone

Hulk Strength Tower

These activities blend science and fun, sparking creativity while teaching you something new! It’s going to be a week full of fun, learning, and discovery!
Each student that attends will receive a T-shirt and snacks. Full day campers must bring their own lunch.
SUMMER MUSIC CAMPS
Charlestown Parks is teaming with Charlestown Ensembles and Red Headed Princess Designs to present the Little Pirate Music & Art Camp and a Piano Camp in the community! All interest levels are welcome to register for the camps.

Two Camp Options, both held at Charlestown Ensembles (1120 Park Street):
LITTLE PIRATE MUSIC & ART CAMP – June 1-5, 2026 – Grades K-2nd from 9 AM-Noon – $100 per camper
PIANO CAMP – June 22-26, 2026 – Ages 10-18 from 9-Noon – $100 per camper

LITTLE PIRATE MUSIC & ART CAMP
Ahoy! Join this music and art camp brings about fun learning opportunities through art projects, singing, game, composing, and performing. There will be a public performance on the final day of camp at the Family Activities Park. The cost is $100 per camper.

PIANO CAMP
Ensembles Piano Camp is for all levels of students who are interested in learning more about playing the piano. We will learn about composition, music theory and learn to play in fun multi-part ensembles. Cost is $100 per camper.
SUMMER THEATER CAMP
Looking for an introduction to musical theater? The City of Charlestown and Charlestown Ensembles are partnering to present a Pirate Musical Theater Camp for students in 3rd-8th grade. All interest levels are welcome to experience the camp.
Held June 7-12, 2026 camp will take place at the Arts & Enrichment Center, 999 Water Street.
Camp times will be:

June 7, from 2-6 p.m.

June 8-12, from 9 AM-3 PM (Bring a sack lunch)

June 12, 2 Public Performances, 2 PM & 7 PM

The camp is $150 per camper.
SUMMER FUN ART CAMP
Summer Fun Art Camp is a five-day morning camp packed with colorful, hands-on projects inspired by all things summer. Campers will explore a variety of materials, techniques, and textures while creating multiple take-home art pieces each day.
The camp will be held July 13-17 at Charlestown Ensembles, 1120 Monroe Street. The cost is $100 per person for ages 6-11.
This camp is designed to encourage creativity, build confidence, and give kids the freedom to experiment — without worrying about the mess at home. We embrace the paint, the splatter, the layering, and the creative process in a fun, supportive environment where every child can succeed.
