CHARLESTOWN EXPRESS TRAIN
The Charlestown Express Train is a fun and festive experience, taking riders from the Family Activities Park down Market Street to see the lights of Greenway Park, then circling the City Square to pass by the animated light show before returning. Each ride is about 10-12 minutes. This is an open air experience! Dress warm!

WHERE: Train Depot Station, Family Activities Park, 1000 Park Street

WHEN: Thursdays-Sundays, Nov. 28-Dec. 21 from 6-10 PM. Bonus Day: Monday, Dec. 22 (Live Reindeer Night in Greenway Park)

TICKETS: $8 per person, ages 2 and up. Under 2 is free if riding on a lap. Tickets are sold DAY OF ONLY AND IN PERSON ONLY at the Family Activities Park admission window. Ticket sales begin nightly at 5:45. Tickets are sold in time slots (6:00, 6:20, 6:40, and so forth).

WARNING: The Family Activities Park is the ONLY place to board the Charlestown Express Train. Do not attempt to get off the train during the experience.

TROLLEY HOP!
Immerse yourself in a Hallmark movie setting with trolley rides in Charlestown Christmas City to three festive parks!

New for 2025, the City of Charlestown is offering trolley transportation to three wonderful parks – Greenway Park, City Square, and the Family Activities Park.
​
Trolley tickets are limited to 100 sold per night. The trolley seats 25 and has one space for a wheelchair. Ages 3-under are free if able to sit in a lap. To board the trolley, show digital tickets to the trolley staff. Trolley service begins at 6 PM and the last ride is at 10 PM and ceases running at 10:15 PM.

Parking is available at all three parks to begin your journey from 6-10 PM! The trolley is heated. This experience does not include riding the Charlestown Express Train.

Drop off locations include:

Charlestown City Square at the corner of Main Cross Street and Short Street near the Post Office. Parking is available around the Square.

Greenway Park at Spring Street. Parking is located at Doc Werner Dog Park.

Family Activities Park. 1000 Park Street. Parking is located at the park with overflow parking at Charlestown High School.
